Frequently Asked Questions

Just like wedding venues, bridal alterations has a busy and slow season. During busy season ( March - September ) I will only be taking wedding gown appointments. For slow season ( October - February ) I will accept bridesmaid and mother of the bride inquiries.

The cost of alterations is going to depend on the type of dress and amount of work needed to be done. Most nonbridal hems (MOB or bridesmaid ) cost around $75 - 150 while wedding gown hems can average $150 - 375. Fit work will vary based on the structure of the dress and if there is any beading or lace. If you have a specific inquiry, feel free to reach out for a free estimate.

If you purchased your dress through The Bridal Collection, they will work with you to schedule an appointment and from there you can request to be booked with me. If you purchased your dress elsewhere, you can email me directly and we can discuss availability.

Most places require at least 4 weeks between the first fitting appointment and the second “try on” appointment. On occasion, there may be a third final appointment if adjustments need to be made. These fitting appointments are typically 2 to 4 months out from your wedding date to allow sufficient time for me to sew while also ensuring your measurements are most accurate to what they will be on the big day.
